About US

In a small village in Lebanon, where the shadows of economic instability loom large and waste management crisis are the norm, our team at Wasted Treasures observed a pressing opportunity amidst these challenges, marking our inception in our effort to redefine waste.

The main problem we seek to address is twofold: Rising deforestation in Lebanon is destroying the country’s natural resources, led by an excessive demand for biomass wood. Meanwhile, skyrocketing prices of heating fuels are putting a strain on many families’ budgets. The alternative we envisioned is a sustainable, eco-friendly heating solution that would alleviate these pressing environmental and economic concerns. As of 2024, Wasted Treasures has developed two products: the biomass log and the biomass pellet.

Introducing a novel product to a traditional market posed its own set of challenges. To overcome skepticism, we adopted a grassroots approach (word-of-mouth and free samples of the product in exchange for feedback). This strategy not only helped refine the product but also built a community around Wasted Treasures, rooted in trust and mutual benefit. This reflects the sustainability that is at the heart of our operations and values.

As Wasted Treasures continues to grow, our vision is to continue transforming waste into treasure, one community at a time. Our story is a testament to the power of innovation, sustainability, and community-driven change in addressing some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our times.
